Join us for an insightful session exploring how NZX’s Surveillance team works to uphold the integrity, fairness, and transparency of New Zealand’s capital markets.
In this presentation, Phil will provide a high‑level overview of how NZX monitors trading activity across the market, with a focus on two key areas of regulatory surveillance:
- Potential market manipulation – including how unusual trading patterns are identified, analysed, and assessed.
- Potential insider trading – with an explanation of the indicators, data sources, and escalation processes involved.
The session will also include real‑world case studies illustrating how surveillance tools and analytical techniques are applied in practice, offering attendees a practical understanding of how issues are detected, investigated, and managed.
Whether you work in compliance, trading, risk, financial markets, governance, or simply want to better understand how market integrity is protected, this session will provide valuable insights into NZX’s surveillance framework and the important role it plays in New Zealand’s financial ecosystem.
We look forward to having you join us.
