TOPIC: Local and Central Fraud Prevention and Detection - The Survey results

In September 2024 as part part of a research project being conducted through Otago Polytech, Local and Central Government agencies were asked to complete a survey on their Fraud Prevention and Detection activities.  Come and here the results from the 100+ responses received. The results may be surprising and it is something you won't want to miss.

THE SPEAKER 

Ian is the director of Fraud Services, a new consultancy specialising in helping organisations understand their fraud environment and how best to protect themselves from internal and external threats. Prior to this, Ian was the National Manager, Provider Assurance Group at the Ministry of Education for around 3½  years, where his team was responsible for preventing and detecting fraud in the $2.4B / annum early learning sector.

Ian last presented to our group in December 2023 and has now completed a Master of Professional Practice with his thesis focused on fraud prevention and detection practices.
